7th Grade Silk Road Project

Our 7th grade students have been learning about trade along the Silk Road throughout Asia and Europe during ancient times.  They have created graphic organizers for each original stop along the original route and have recorded their findings about the ideas and goods that were traded. 

They are now in the process of using google docs to work collaboratively on letters that they are writing to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland to explain how ideas of the past have led to trade patterns of today.  Each partner is working on a different computer screen, but is collaborative working on the same letter through the docs program!
